To celebrate the coming of Fall, it’s time for another Your Favorite Colors design contest!
Here’s the deal. In the comments of this post, submit your favorite colorway. It can be a picture you like, a poem, another website or just a list of colors that you think would look pretty together. You can submit colorway ideas starting now, and ending on Friday, September 21, 2012. I will choose five colorways I like best, and I will make an electronic mock up of each colorway. I’ll then post them to the blog, and you guys will get to vote on your favorite until Saturday, October 13th at 5 pm EST. The top three colorways will win the following prizes from Whimsy Beading:
3rd Place: $15 gift certificate to the Whimsy Beading shop
2nd Place: $25 gift certificate to the Whimsy Beading shop
1st Place: 1 Whimsy Beading sterling silver crystal spiral necklace in the winning colorway.
Everyone who submits an entry also receives a special coupon code for 20% off their next purchase in the Whimsy Beading shop.
Now, here’s the catch - you can enter as many times as you like, but you will only receive one coupon code. Only one colorway per person will be selected for the mock-up and voting. Please keep your entries to one colorway per comment, otherwise, it’s a bit hard to sort through.
Good luck, and I can’t wait to see the beautiful things you guys will create.

Something for the smokiness of fall -- with different shades of purple, gray and black.
ReplyDeleteWatermelon-inspired: dark green fading to light green to clear, then bright coral/ pink at the center :)
ReplyDeleteBright burning red, burnt orange and silver from trees settling in to slumber. Like the woods at the very end of autumn, right before the snow comes.
ReplyDeleteLaufeyson - black seed bead core, with shades of deep and vivid green and one spiral stripe of gold (like the koi necklace), inspired by Marvel!Loki
ReplyDeleteFluorite - silver or white core, with bands of green, teal, and amethyst, inspired by one of my favorite stones ever
ReplyDeleteLabradorite - charcoal or grey core, wound with shades of deep grey, black, and grey-green (sort of like the Polaris mix?), with a stripe of shimmery AB2x in bright blues and teals, inspired by my other favorite stone
ReplyDeleteBrighid's Altar - golden core, wound with copper and deep red spirals, and a single crystal (perhaps the larger size, done as a dangle as opposed to woven *in*, like the Dark Star necklace) of brilliant yellow, perhaps an AB2x coated one, to symbolize the eternal flame
ReplyDeleteThe Fall Court - dark moss green, dirty cream pearl, mauve and light amber crystal.
ReplyDeleteThe Winter Court - icy periwinkle, dusty pine green, navy crystal and light blue tinted pearl.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about dark colours for fall, but with a little bright twist. Black and teal with a stripe of hot pink!
ReplyDeleteAutumn's Graveyard - in Autumn, Maine ;-) Moss green, shades of ruby, firey orange and topaz, tombstone gray, bronze for the tree trunks, on gold-lined seed beads.

Colors inspired by the Joker: purples and greens with white seed beads for his pale, pale skin.
ReplyDeleteSnow White: white fading into silver with red at the center, and black seed beads
ReplyDeleteI've also always wanted a necklace that's a lot like Sophie, Emily, or Caroline but in blue: light gray to dark gray to dark or medium blue and lighter blue in the middle.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny you should mention that, since I was planning a blue version of the "Girls" necklaces. What would you like to name her?
ReplyDeleteIf you called it Kirsti, that'd be super spiffy. It's my mom's name, and her birthday is in September, and we're kind of obsessed with the color blue.
ReplyDeleteKirsti it is. I'm going to try to list some new things in the last chance 40% sale this coming Saturday, so I'll see if I can fit that in, how about that?
